History
Founded by Mad Dog Construction with special consideration to the natural resources of the forest.
- In 1984 Mad Dog won the Award of Merit from Tallahassee Tree Watch for its work in Blairstone Forest.
- Mad Dog received the 1986 Leon County Environmental Award in recognition of Blairstone Forest Communities which were designed, developed and built by Mad Dog.
- Blairstone Forest received the 2017 Small Neighborhood of the Year Award by CONA (Council of Neighborhood Associations) for Leon County.
- Blairstone Forest received the 2022 Small Neighborhood of the Year Award by CONA
